Tony Walsh was Poet in Residence at the 2011 Glastonbury Festival, and he and Rohan Van Twest worked together to create this video, that uses his words and performance and Rohan’s images and production skills. Tony Walsh aka Longfella can be found here: http://www.longfella.co.uk
This video was posted onto youtube a few days before the festival, and got picked up by a few festival related sites, notably the official Glastonbury Festival Site itself. As the festival started the view count went through 1,000. At the end of the festival the video was used on the official festival website on the “Thank you for coming” page and, largely because of this, the number of views shot up. In one day alone the video was watched by over 4,000 people. The total views listed a week after the festival is now well over 8,000 and still climbing strongly. This count doesn’t include a number of copies of the video that have been distributed and are on other sites.
