Senior Editor

ϖ Internationally distributed consumer magazine in the fields of cooking, food, travel, wine and home. Circulation 275,000. As of 11/06: Intermezzo begins publishing special edition exclusively for the Irish market.
Editor: Work closely with publisher to help determine content and style of each issue. Edit all articles, from working with writers on topic and focus to copyediting and proofreading. Fact-check every article. Work with chefs to accurately reproduce their recipes.
Writer: Contribute feature stories on tourism destinations, travel experiences and aspects of the hospitality industry. Places/experiences previously covered include: the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki; touring Shodoshima, Japan; safari in Botswana; luxury train journey through Southeast Asia. Also write in-depth columns on specific ingredients (eggs, butter, garlic) and many shorter pieces that appear uncredited throughout each issue.
Office Manager: (Until April, 2006) In charge of internship program; hired and supervised interns. Attended to all daily office tasks, including phones, mailings, copying, etc.
Subscriptions Manager: Organize and update subscriber databases. Resolve customer service problems via phone and email.
